Thursday, March 06, 2014 Posted at 1:48 PM Focus Shifting Southwards Light to moderate rain with embedded storms will continue to affect most of East Central Florida through the mid afternoon hours as activity pushes eastwards across the peninsula. While embedded stronger storms may be possible anywhere, the focus will shift to southern Brevard county and the Treasure Coast where instability is higher and rainfall has been minimal. The main focus will be with the mesoscale convective vortex (MCV) pushing across southwest Florida. This feature is expected to continue through the late afternoon, affecting Okeechobee, Saint Lucie, and Martin county after 3pm. However isolated activity may still develop ahead of this feature before the line arrives.
