Thursday Movie Nights@Goethe-Institut The Goethe-Institut in collaboration with the Zanzibar Film Festival -ZIFF- presents a series of films that recieved an award during ZIFF 2014. - Body Games - (Jogo De Corpo- Brazilian with English subtitles) Director Richard Pakleppa, Nambia/Brazil 2013, 87 minutes Synopsis Body Games tells a story of combat games, dances and music that connect Brazil and Africa from the time of slavery to the present. The Producer Richard Pakleppa follows the journey of the worldwide known Brazilian Master of Capoeira Cobra Mansa from Brazil to the roots of Capoeira in Angola. Capoeira is one of the most famous dances in Brazil and combines martial arts, acrobatics and rhythm. Awarded at the Zanzibar International Film Festival 2014, the movie Body Games inspires the audience with its beautiful picture scenes and gives a deep insight into the traditional dances in Angola and the origin of the Brazilian Capoeira. A “must-see” film for everybody who is interested in music and dance.
