To all my throwing brothers and sisters, I have a request to make. We all know what its like to push our bodies to the max pursuing a physical goal. Im sure most of you also know it is not as easy for some to push their bodies to the max as it is for the rest of us. With my competitive throwing career on hiatus, my job is now as Program DIrector at Push To Walk, a non-profit gym for people with CNS disorders and injuries including spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries. If we collect enough votes by May 16th, State Farm will give us a $25,000 grant, which we will use to set up a scholarship fund to help veterans with central nervous system injuries and disorders benefit from our intensive exercise and wellness program.
