To all of my Catholic friends: PLEASE stop screaming "Persecution!" over things that are nothing. The latest incident: an unconsecrated host on a hamburger. My friends, the hosts on those burgers are UNCONSECRATED!!! It is nothing more than a CHUNK OF BREAD! It is no more sacred than the bun upon which the burger sits. Since it is bread, it can be consumed without fear of hell. The Catholic monasteries in this world that make communion wafers regularly sell any unused communion wafers to the public for their consumption. It is just bread. So what if it has a cross on it? So do hot cross buns, and it is a part of Christian tradition to EAT them even though they have a cross on them. There is NOTHING wrong with this. If the burger shop was trying to insult Catholics, it is an epic fail on their part because, as Catholics, we know that an unconsecrated host is JUST A CHUNK OF BREAD, nothing more. usatoday/story/news/nation/2013/10/04/chicago-burger-communion-wafer/2922075/
