To be a bless man you must practice… Psalm 32:1-11 The blessed man: (1) Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered . (In the OT dispensation the blood of the sacrifice lamb covered the believer’s sin; however, in the NT dispensation the blood of the Lamb, Savior LORD Jesus Christ, His shed blood takes away the sin of the believer once and for all.) (2) Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. (Once a sinner is saved through repentance towards God and faith towards the LORD Jesus Christ, they are free from sin’s penalty, personal guilt, power, and some day from the very presence of sin.) The testimony of a backslidden man under God’s chastisement: (3) When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long. (4) For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah. (I interpret what the Psalmist is experiencing in the text is the spiritual weight of being backslidden in depression of guilt for one’s unconfessed and un-repented sin.) The prayer of repentance and reliance by faith: (5) I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. (This is the confession of sin. We must never cover our sins, but confess and forsake such; Proverbs 28:13; 1 John 1:9) (6) For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him. (This is communion in prayer with the LORD recognizing the necessity of coming unto the LORD.) (7) Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. (This is confidence, by faith, with the LORD, our spiritual, scriptural, and supernatural hiding place and deliverer, who forgives sin and restores spiritually, scripturally, and supernaturally the believer with a contrite heart. We should think about such.) The instructions of the LORD into His sovereign perfect will: (8) I (The LORD) will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. (The LORD instructs, teaches, and guides those who will humble themselves before Him, by faith in dependence.) (9) Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee. (In other words, repent of an independent, stubborn, prideful spirit that resists the LORD.) (10) Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD (Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him (Faith is spiritually and scripturally absolutely necessary to please God.): for he that cometh to God must believe that he is (Faith believes in God’s eternal existence.), and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Faith believe God rewards those who diligently seek Sovereign God: His will, way, worth, and works, through the Saviour LORD Jesus Christ, by walking after, in, and being filled with the Spirit, in accordance to absolute authority of the Scripture.), mercy (Mercy is God withholding deserved and merited judgment that He might extend His grace , which is God’s undeserved and unmerited favor, goodness, and blessings.) shall compass him about. (11) Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart. (As we look unto the LORD Jesus Christ, by faith, with upright hearts, we can rejoice in and through Him regardless of our situation or circumstance.)
