To deter my oldest from randomly sticking a dirty finger in her mouth, I decided to make a trip to a museum a real teachable moment. Me: do you see that grosssssss worm? Teeny tiny worm eggs are everywhere, like dirt. You wouldnt want to accidentally swallow an egg and have that in your stomach would you? Thats why we keep our hands out of our mouths. Evelyn: *eyes wide* And now, my friends, every time that kid eats anything with a granulated texture, I get (i.e. strawberry seed, etc.) Ith thith part of the thtrawberry or ith it a worm egg... with tongue out. I hate myself.
