To end the year of 2014, Ive decided to reminisce on the the most memorable parts of the year, month by month. I tried to keep it as short and sweet as I could. So here goes: January: My favorite part of January was winning the Northwest 4-H Share the Fun contest for the second year in a row..when I was told that I wouldnt even win it once. Music Man rehearsals started early in this month. Also, I got a CAT scan of my brain :P February: This month was mainly District Choir and District Band, but there was also Science Fair. I had to order $40 of carpenter ants for my experiment. March: March was mainly Music Man rehearsals (and I also took a lot of selfies). April: My busiest month of the year every year. For starters, I had my first prom! At the same time were also the performances of The Music Man where I played the role of Tommy Djilas. This month also had State Choir, State Band, State FFA Chorus, and State FFA Talent. This was my first year that I have gotten to sing solo in the Cox Convention Center. Absolutely thrilling! May: Tri-State Music Festival! Its a huge wad of concert choir, show choir, concert band, marching band, and piano, tuba, trombone, and vocal solos & ensembles. This month I was crowned Vicis Mr. Irresistible, All-Music King, and High School Musician of the Year. June: This month I attended the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain where I was in the chorus and had the best summer of my life. July- This month was the jackpot. I won Oklahomas 4-H Has Talent competition with my act, Taylor, the Latte Boy. August- For starters, I started my SENIOR YEAR! Within the first week, I had already skipped two school days to take a family vacation to Galveston, TX to see my brother, Chris, graduate from college and get his masters degree. This month also consisted of me twerking..dont ask. September- This month I worked many hours and marched in the State Fair Parade. October- I visited two college campuses, ordered my senior pictures, and flew to Louisville to sing in the National FFA Chorus! November- Homecoming week! I visited OUs campus twice, once for a campus tour and another for a special music day. I sure met some great music and musical theatre peeps (you know who you are). Oh, and how could I forget? I turned 18! December- I was crowned Vicis Mr. Happy New Year, met up with a special family from Minnesota, and had an amazing Christmas. 2014 was super great to me. The year involved a lot of ups and downs, but the ups most definitely outweighed the downs. Im so glad that I have the opportunities that I have, and cant wait to see where my future leads.
