To me, this was SUPERMAN Forey Kosch passed away today. God allowed me to be there at the end. Forey was the greatest man of God I have ever known. Period. My longtime spiritual mentor, my friend and an amazing role model. All Forey did, every day, was to inspire me. Inspire me to be a better Man of God, a better husband, father and a better friend. He lived and breathed the word of God and he had this wonderfully gentle corrective ability that was just… Biblical. How patient he was with me :). He often would just let me ramble on, expounding on my great knowledge and just smile at me (that ever present smile) and encourage me. Wow did he encourage me, but at the same time pointing to his wonderfully worn and heavily personally notated King James Bible (because you know my NIV was the Narrowly Inspired Version :) ) and patiently tell me, what the Lord says. Man I miss him. I wish everyone in the world could know a Forey. I don’t know a great deal (I’ve learned that lesson:) ) but I know Men like him don’t come along often in this world. There just aren’t many great Godly role models for us today. I could write a book on how Forey touched my life. There is a gaping spiritual whole in the world today because he is not here. I asked him one time… you have lived and served a long time… what are we all missing? I was waiting for this long theological answer… and he just said, Love Dave. We are missing Love. That sums up Forey for me. He loved. He loved the Lord, Oh how he loved the Lord. He loved Glenna, like God created men to do. He loved his family. He loved me, my wife and my son. He loved the saved and the unsaved. He loved everyone around him and man did he Love the Church, not just St. Paul’s, but the Church… you know? Wow, did I mention that I will miss him? So with tears rolling down my stupid face I have only one way to say goodbye. I love you Forey. Heaven REJOICE at your newest member, he is a truly great one! I am sure the heavens are ringing with...Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant.
