To single mothers: I admire you to pieces. Not only do you have to take care of your children alone, being abandoned by a deadbeat, you endure being judged and ridiculed by your peers. The world considers you an outcast, while eligible bachelors don’t want your “excess baggage”. It’s nearly impossible to find a good man who wants to help with your family, and you have to be weary of child molesters who want to prey on your precious kids. You have to sustain part-time jobs to provide financial support, only to pay for food, rent, clothing, toys, medical expenses, among millions of other bills. How do you do it? How do you remain so strong? It should be a crime if your children were ever disrespectful towards you. I think there are many stereotypical heroes, where labels are attached automatically, but just so you know, I acknowledge you. For the record, you’re heroines to me.
