To start with, we need to get our identity back, we need that back awful bad. Traditional music is country music, its been country music ever since it was thought of, or even sung the first song. The money people, or whatever you want to call them, they have come in since this got built and strong and got on TV and all of this stuff and started making money, and thats when your big money people come in and take over you know. And they want things this way, that way, and the other way, and they need to find their own identity, and give us ours back. And radio also needs to understand that, and radio should get back to what made this business, traditional country music. Now this music we have today I love these people, dont get me wrong, I dont mean to offend these new artists, but they are made to do this what they are doing, or else they cant be on record, and some of them are very successful, and Im not putting the music down itself. Theres some good stuff out there, but its got a different identity, and they need to find their own identity, and kind of go wherever they want to go. New York, if they want to go to New York, and hold their academy award show, I know a lot of people here would be glad to see them take it to New York, and leave it there.
