To the lovely Flower lady on Bernard. You made my day. You did more than that you touched my heart with your sincere kindness and care. What I experienced today was not a business transaction, but a human exchange. Your genuine personality and conversation literally brought me to tears as I walked away with the plants you actually care for. Hearing you ask that we take good care of these plants as we slowly packed our bags to go home almost felt as though you were talking about your own children. It was beautiful.Thank you for telling me to come back if I had any questions about the neighborhood and the plants. You gifted us three small flowers. You noticed that two of them had outgrown their vase. You asked us if had bigger pots to plant them in. When we said no, you gestured to your daughter to go get two bigger Chinese porcelain pots so that we could take better care of them. At this point I was in complete disbelief. Your radiating honest generosity left me speechless. You mentioned how you have seen so many struggling students inhabit the Mile End for the past 26 years. You mentioned how the neighborhood has slowly been changing as a BMW alarmingly inched towards you and your bicycle. You said smilingly that you were always willing to give these youths a helping hand. You jokingly told me how you were happy to help Boyfriends with a tight budget give a little token of love to their loved ones. You said this humbly as if it were nothing. Even thinking about you now fills me with such joy. We forget how being genuine and caring can change our immediate environment so drastically. All I want to say to you is that your shop is the most Magical Place ever. Your kindness is unsurpassed. The beauty of the plants and flowers are beautifully matched by your spirit and heart. Thank you. Please pay them a visit and support such a beautiful human being. You inspire me to no end.
