To those of you who knew my dad. Today marks one month since he passed away, the cause of death was liver cancer. We finally found out that he had cancer about 6 months ago. It was far too late to do anything about it, No matter how many specialists we saw there was no good answer. However, he never had a bad attitude about it and just carried on doing the things he loved surrounded by close friends and family. He was the strongest person i have ever known, mentally and physically. He never used any technology newer than about 1985 and was fine with it. Didnt need very much money to do what he wanted because having a low overhead is just like being rich. He was truly a free man, from hunting for his food in the mountains of Oregon to scuba diving for pirate treasure on shipwrecks in the Caribbean and everything in between. His life story is unbelievable, and I am so proud to be his son. I still learn something from him every day just thinking about things he would say and how he would act. He never put any pressure on me to race and thats why I still love it more than ever 19 years later. I could go on and on about all the great things he said and did. Anyways, we will be having a memorial service in the alpine/ lions valley area near the end of this month and ill have more details on that soon for those of you who want to come. Have a great day
