Today I am thankful that I was raised with and knew both sets of my grandparents. I came along at a particularly good time for my moms father. He had worked all his life, but had recently become disabled by arthritis. I took up a lot of empty hours for him and I gained a wealth of knowledge. He and my grannie would take me to Robos and then drive to Pound Dam to eat. I spent many hours trailing after my papaw (Dads dad) in the garden. I remember picnics in Nannie and Papaws front yard and summers at the cabin on High Knob. For all the time I spent with Grandmom and Granddad (Gladys and Roy Gardener) and Nannie and Papaw (Gladys and Worley Flanary) I am thankful and so truly blessed. I love and miss you guys! I am so glad I grew up with the four of you!
