Today LTA in Lautoka (Natabua Junction) stopped me and wanted to fine me for having Fog Lamps which have been on my car ever since I bought it 8 years ago.. The were doing their check ups in the busiest hour 4-pm - 6pm causing a massive Traffic Jam...Funny thing I made 4 trips past them and they didnt stop me but in the end stopped me.. I overhead a LTA officer that they have to reach their TARGETS! I wonder whether it was LTAs Target or their own personal BRIBE Target for the weekend Partys!! They have been passing MY car every year without any problem.. When I argued they thoroughly checked my car for any defects for 15 minutes and in the end gave a defect notice for a tyre which is still good but with less tread as i just bought it last week from a second hand tyre Dealer.. Whwy do they allow such tyres to be sold??? I have the receipts to prove the purchase for $85... This is one major reason I may not VOTE for the current Frank Bainimarama Government! Other Drivers should ALSO Think before deciding to vote for him.. We drivers have a lot of Political power in deciding who runs the nation and how LTA is managed.. They cant FIX roads despite having so much money and expect us to keep OUR cars fully fit at all times!! I have seen worse Government / Police / LTA vehicles.. I wonder how many of such vehicles have been booked apart from the majority DEFECT Public Service vehilcles towhich the LTA seems to over look unless we have BUs fires or serious accidents involving them! :) LTA= Lucifers Terrorist Agents! :P
