Today, Sen. Alexander chaired a Senate health committee hearing on the damaging Obamacare provision that defines full-time work as 30 hours a week—which he said resulted in “thousands of workers are getting a pay cut, their work schedules are being reduced to 29 hours a week and below.” At the hearing, Alexander said the Senate should pass bipartisan legislation, introduced by Sens. Collins and Donnelly this month that would change the Obamacare definition of full-time from 30 hours a week to 40 and give “as many as 2.6 million workers a pay raise.” Alexander said, “Republicans have talked a lot about wanting to repair the damage of Obamacare. We have also talked about wanting to get results. This bipartisan bill should be an important step to doing both.” Watch Alexander’s full opening remarks from today’s hearing HERE: https://youtube/watch?v=RrgdYr-3784&feature=youtu.be
