Today a federal appeals court reinstated Wisconsins voter ID law, meaning the photo ID requirement will be in effect for Novembers election. Lets be clear, were less than two months away from a big election and absentee ballots have already gone out to voters. This decision will cause confusion at the polls, disarray at the DMV, and will disenfranchise eligible voters - of course thats the intent. I encourage everyone who needs to procure a state ID card for purposes of voting to go here, and please share this information with anyone else you know who needs one: gab.wi.gov/elections-voting/photo-id It is a right, and not a privilege, to vote. I will do everything I can to help every eligible voter get the information they need to exercise their fundamental democratic right to participate in their government . Its a pity not everyone believes in ensuring access to that right.
