Today at 10:16 a.m., Catholic University will participate in a drill as part of the Great Southeast ShakeOut (shakeout.org/southeast/ ), so members of the CUA community can practice the best way to protect themselves in the event of an earthquake — drop, cover, and hold on. The drill will last 60 seconds. The University is participating in this drill in the wake of the 5.8-magnitude earthquake that hit the Washington, D.C., area in August 2011, causing damage to some University buildings.
