Today deputies responded to a residence after a wife sent her husband a text threatening to kill her self. Deputies responded to the home and made contact with the wife. She was very lethargic in her responses to deputy’s questions. She just stated that she wanted to sleep and took some sleeping pills. Deputies located a suicide note, along with Xanex pills lying on the note. She was transported by EMS and is ok. Over the years I have encountered many people of all ages that feel they have no hope and just do not want to continue with their life as it is. If it be told, many have felt this way in their lives, possibly for a fleeting moment. Life is difficult for many and for those that have been blessed beyond measure, trials and tribulations still find a way to disrupt ones life. I would like the opportunity to talk with anyone considering taking your life. While I am not a counselor and would suggest you contact a certified counselor or pastor, I would like to share with you a testimony of over coming some mighty big real life obstacles and introduce you to someone that changed my life eternally. I once heard Bill Murray, the son of atheist Madeline Murray O’Hara speak at New Life in the 1970s. Bill is a Christian and he said these words I will never forget. “ I love my mom dearly, but she is an accident waiting for the Lord to happen.” Life is good. Life can be good and life is so much better when you share your life with others. Don’t give up. Don’t give in.
