Today is the feast day of Saint Padre Pio. I learnt today that he used to sit 19 hours at a time listening to confessions and would totally lose himself helping others. By the grace of God he could look straight into the souls of people - pointing out things that they were blocking or forgot. People used to queue for days to have confession with him. By the grace of God he could also physically bilocate across continents in an instant - a rare gift bestowed upon some saints. Besides getting stigmata soon after he was ordained as a priest, and many miracles performed while he was alive (and of course as a result of his intercession after death), his body has not yet decayed. And to think that people still deny the many many thousands of Catholic saints that have walked this earth: Their sacrifices for our benefit, humility and supernatural graces from God. They are living images of Christ and an integral part of His Church!
