Today is the full moon day(the honey full moon day), আজ মধু পূর্ণিমা দিন । বুদ্ধের জিবদ্ধশায় এমন একটি ময়ত্রীপূর্ণ দিনকে স্মরণ করে এই পূর্ণিমা দিনতা সারা বৌদ্ধ দেশে পালন করা হয়। Today is the full moon day(the honey full moon day),that means in the three months rain retreat for the monk two months over. The full moon day is observed among the all Buddhist in the world commemorating a benevolent day during the Buddhas life time. Once the Buddha forsook the Bikkhu sanga (monks) and had passed for one rain retreat lonely in an isolated jangle name PARALAYA VANA. During that time the Buddha was none accompanied by any monks or any persons except some wild animals, even so Because of the Buddhas loving kindness and compassion even some wild animals was intimately helpful for his all retreat long. It is said that, especially an elephant took care of the Buddha retreat long everyday. Seeing that a monkey got very happy and the monkey too wanted to help Buddha with something. At the same time it saw a honeycomb on the tree and taking down some honey from it offered to the Buddha. That day was the full moon day. So the day is called honey full moon day too. So in some country Buddhist are observed following this auspicious day in same time of the year. The auspicious day has reached to us today. Like other country at Rajbana vihara, rangamati too the ceremony is observed today in the attended of vast practitioner of Buddhas teaching. Let us make success and observe the compassionate day through expanding loving kindness to one another. May the honey full moon day be success to all. May all beings be happy gaining the Buddhas virtues..
