Today it is Mothers Day, and there is one mother outside of my own that deserves recognition on this day, Mary the mother of Jesus Christ. In the movie the Passion directed by Mel Gibson, Jesus is not the only one focused on, Mary is as well. Can you imagine raising a child whom God put inside yourself, knowing how powerful your child was? Loving your child deeply as you raised Him, only to have to watch the most painful ways to suffer and die in the end. God chose Mary to endure this and she did very well at it I am sure. I cannot imagine what was going through her mind as she watched spikes being pounded into her sons hands and feet, wiping the blood he shed from the whippings He endured, and preparing Him for burial. That is alot of pain for a mother to bare as well as Christ. So Happy Mothers Day, Mother Mary.
