Today marks the final day of 13 years that I have had the privilege of running 3.33 miles a day. Since I am such a geek about recording all my runs I thought it would be neat to see what had happened on the final day of each streak year. So here it is. I noticed before I left on my run today that I had done the exact same route to end the year two other times. So I had a 29:41 in 2003 and a 29:52 in 2011 for the same route and miles I would be doing today. I thought it would be kinda cool if I could beat my 2003 time, so I gave it my best shot. I came up a little short but my time was exactly the same as 2011. Each one of the 15,837 miles I have ran over the past 4748 days has been a blessing. I am not taking a single one for granted. I give credit where credit is due. I give thanks to the the one who holds my every breath and every heartbeat in His hand. I have no idea how much further this streak will go. My short term goal is to run tomorrow. My long term goal is to run every day for the rest of my life. If I wake up tomorrow I plan to do my usual Wednesday 4 miler to kick off the first day of my 14th year.
