Today my 97 year old aunt passed away. I have so many great memories of Aunt Elsie but the ones clearest are when I would take a group of my students over to her house every spring to clean windows and bring out her patio furniture. She would always offer the kids a soda pop and cookies. If youve ever been to Aunt Elsies house then you know she offered everyone soda pop. In her 97 years she saw many changes to our world and became a widow in 1977 when her husband drown in the flood. She lived her life to the fullest and was knitting blankets, doll clothes and other things till just recently even helping out afghans for angels by knitting blankets for mothers who miscarried or lost their babies early on. And she caught my bouquet at my wedding when she was 76 years old. The look on her face was priceless when Jeff went to put it on her leg. Ill miss you Aunt Elsie but I know you are happy now to be reunited with your husband and son!!
