Today our Minister visited two neighbourhood centres in the Blue Mountains to present cheques worth more than $120,000 for their work with our No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS). The scheme helps vulnerable families on a low-income by providing a hand up to purchase essential household goods and medical/dental services. Loans are repaid in more than 95% of cases ensuring funds are put back into the scheme to assist others and supports loan recipients to establish credit ratings and get finance in the future.
