Today we set out on an excursion to horseback ride along the beach. After seeing the Dominican children along the road during our ride to the ranch, I asked the driver to pull over to a small market in town. We went in, bought various school supplies, and then asked the driver to take us to the local elementary school. We handed our supplies to the teacher at the door, but graciously she invited us into her classroom. Handing out pens and pencils to each child in the class, seeing their faces light up as they didnt have to share school supplies today, and hearing their excited shouts of thanks for their own pen and pencil.....by far the best part of this honeymoon.
