Today wed like to send a big shout out to Daniel Lewis, Owner and Founder of T By Daniel . START-UP STORY Pizza Guy to Tea Fanatic! Many people ask, What about pizza leads one to start their own tea company? Absolutely nothing, replies Daniel, a former General Manager at Dominos Pizza and current handsome owner of the magically delicious tea company T By Daniel. (He told us to put that in.) The T By Daniel story is a very simple yet extraordinary one. Toronto born Daniel Lewis was introduced to the wonderful world of loose leaf tea in his early 20s. Daniel became so intrigued about the dramatic differences between loose leaf tea and tea bags, that it led him to want to find out more. After discovering this hidden gem Daniel made it his mission to visit as many tea houses, tea shops and online tea stores as he could to try all the various blends that were offered. Everyday for a year Daniel would head to the library to conduct his own research about tea types/ tea blends and herbal infusions & recipes ...still with no clear business idea in mind. Just a hardcore fan of the beverage. (Ask all his friends and family what their Christmas gift was) After several months of research and trying to persuade everyone that tea is the best beverage on earth, it dawned on Daniel that perhaps he should start a tea business! The fact that such an amazing, healthy, delicious beverage had been so hidden or poorly promoted really frustrated Daniel, and got his crazy mind thinking of how he could help change the way people view tea today. KABOOOM! Daniel officially registered his company T which was changed to T By Daniel a few months later and began his mission of educating people about the fascinating beverage and its benefits while selling and presenting tea in a very exciting and adventurous way! WHO IS DANIEL? T by Daniel cant just be a super cool name that sounds like a fragrance for men, could it? I mean there cant really be a strong, handsome man actually named Daniel sitting behind all of this, right? Well, whether hes handsome or not, well leave that up to you to decide, but the answer is yes! Daniel believed that the tea industry really lacked WOW. Being a former songwriter, non-award winning actor and recording artist for 10 years, Daniel decided to infuse his passion for tea with his artistic talents. In other words he wanted to put the T in Crea -T- ivity. Daniel rigorously studied and continues to study the history, health benefits, and varieties of tea. Therefore, at T by Daniel we do not only educate our customers but also simplify tea, in a way that even kids could enjoy a cup. Tea became T, simply put. Daniel sought to present tea as the exciting, fashionable, irresistible beverage that it truly is.
