Today would have been my Papa Nates birthday. Born in 1904, he was a travelling clothing (coats) salesman. It was so special growing up and living in the same house as Papa Nate and Grandma Tessie. We lived on the ground floor, Papa and Grandma lived on the 2nd floor and my cousins, Michael, Jeffrey and Nancy lived on the 3rd floor (and it wasnt a big house). It was a happy house though. I remember coming home from school and hearing Laras Theme on the piano, or some other wonderful piece (he was an incredible piano player and I have to believe that this talent came down through the gene pool to Josh). He was quite the jokester. As he was out on the road a lot, he would eat many meals out. He used to ask the waitresses: Hi there....would you ask the cook to burn my toast, make my eggs runny and then would you sit down and nag me? I miss my wife. He also used to say (in regards to being bald), that he was just going to grow his eyebrows really long, and comb them back. Papa, I still miss you and Grandma, and thank you for all of the unconditional love you gave us.
