Todays Devotion Topic: Special Gift Text: Isaiah 9: 6 6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Amen. Everyone of us love gifts / presents. Most especially, the unexpected ones. They make us feel loved and thought of. The feeling is even greater when the kind of gift received meets our very need and prayer desire. We often cherish those moments as divine. However, when the gift received is overwhelming, that is, way beyond what we thought we could ever receive, We say its a WONDERFUL MIRACLE. Many are the gifts our dear father bestows on us everyday. Life is a gift and so is the air we breath. Sunrise and her cousin, Sunset are gifts as well. The mountain, sea, forest, rain, dew and wildlife are all gifts from our Father above. Seed for bread and bread for food; food for good health and good health for long life are all gifts from above. Your children, both biological and adopted, are all gifts too. But the BEST GIFT THE FATHER OFFERS TO DEMONSTRATE HIS LOVE FOR US IS HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST! THERE IS NO ARGUMENT ABOUT THAT! THIS IS WHY: The Father chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love, 5 He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will. 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. 9 And He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ (Eph 1: 4-5, 7- 10). What a wonderful gift Jesus is to us! Run to the streets therefore and stop the wanderer. Ask him to come back home, his JESUS is still Gods best solution for the questions on his mind. He will not find fulfillment anywhere else. Also hurry to the highways and byways, bring in the poor, destitute, weak, sick and hopeless. Tell them to look unto Jesus, the author of our faith. HE IS MIGHTY TO SAVE. The rest of us will gather at church this morning as saints of the Most High and celebrate heavens SPECIAL GIFT to mankind. After lunch, exactly at 3pm, we will all gather again at the Precious Family House Chapel, HAATSO- ACCRA; As the 4Jband leads us in worship.
