Todays notices are: * The SRC will be running a coin drive to support Relay for Life in the quadrangle during lunch time on Friday 14 March. The aim is to start at the elevator and reach the front of the school. Come and support our mission. * Library groups are beginning this week! The timetable is available to view as you come in the library. If there is a group you would like to be a part of, turn up to library Classroom 2 at the beginning of the lunchtime it will be running, bring your lunch and any other items you need, and … enjoy! * The Smith Family runs a program called Student2Student, which pairs an older student who is a confident reader with a younger student who needs to improve their reading. You spend 15 to 20 minutes a couple of times a week listening to your student read over the phone. All training and materials (include a free mobile phone) is provided by the Smith Family. It is an incredibly effective and worthwhile program. There are 8 spots for students in Years 9 to 12. Please see Mrs de Jonge for the forms or for more information. * BATS - Would all cast members check the Music Room noticeboard to check whether you are required at Thursdays and Sunday’s rehearsal and which chorus you are in. Thank you. * SENIOR CONCERT BAND REHEARSAL The band will be recorded on Wednesday afternoon. All members please attend. 3.00-4.30pm * OKLAHOMA - Any Drama student in Year 8 and above who would like to go and see the Burnie Musical Society’s production of Oklahoma on Friday 4 April (7.30 pm show) need to collect a letter from Miss Helenmarie. Tickets are $25. * The Student Service Office is currently holding a large range of lost property from the Swimming Carnivals. Please claim as soon as possible. * TQA SPECIAL PROVISIONS APPLICATIONS FOR EXAMS IN TERM 4 – TQA 3 SUBJECTS ONLY The TQA are calling for applications from students who may have one of the following: • Significant Health impairment • Significant Physical disability • Learning disability • Hearing impairment • Vision impairment • Significant Psychological impairment These forms take time and you need to have the appropriate supporting documentation. If you think you would like to apply for Special Provisions for your TQA 3 subjects, please see Mrs Kerr or discuss it with your subject teacher. Requests for provisions for students with pre-existing conditions WILL NOT be considered after July 4. Only emergency cases, such as a physical injury that occurs after the end of Term 2, that will impair a student undertaking their examinations will be considered for that years examinations. If any member of the team cannot make training please let Isaac know in the Harcombe Centre. * BNA WINTER NETBALL ROSTER There are still 10 students who urgently need to return their forms for the NBA Winter netball roster to Isaac in the Harcombe Centre. If you are no longer interested in playing, please inform Isaac ASAP so teams can be adjusted accordingly. * NEW INFORMATION JUST ARRIVED AT THE CAREER CENTRE - brochures available from the Australian Catholic University * PATHWAY PLANNING COUNSELLING - 81 Year 12 students have now completed their Pathway planning counselling and coaching session at the Career Centre. Out of a total 121 Year 12 students this is very pleasing indeed. If you have not visited the Career Centre to organise a suitable time please do so ASAP.
