Tomorrow is the first of several fee-free days in 2015. In commemoration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, entrance fees to Glacier National Park, as well as other units of the National Park Service, will be waived on Monday, January 19. Follow the link to mark your calendars for our other fee-free days. Visitors are encouraged to experience the park’s winter landscape. Snowshoeing and skiing are popular winter recreational activities although recent rains have not improved conditions. Be prepared for changing weather conditions as weather can vary drastically from lower valley locations to higher elevation locations. Severe weather, lack of snow, winter rains, or melting conditions can quickly alter the difficulty of any winter trip. (tc)
