Tomorrow morning Ayla will undergo her back surgery to remove the rods and screws. It is scheduled to begin around 8:30 and last for 2-3 hours. Please keep Ayla, Noah, their parents and the doctors in your thoughts tomorrow. She is scheduled to go home on Friday October 3rd which will be exactly five months since the accident that changed our lives forever. We have shared much of this difficult journey with you and at times it was your strength that carried our family through. Even though we were walking together it was still too difficult to show you the photos of what day to day life was like for those months in the hospital. Those were certainly some of the darkest hours any one of us have experienced. So many ups and downs and uncertainty about the future. We know that this was your journey too and so we are ready to share with you in pictures what those days were like immediately following the accident through when Ayla got to come back home.
