Tomorrow morning I start a new job in Derby, in my field (pensions) after having an almost 3 year break from it, under awful circumstances. Im really looking forward to using my brain and having colleagues again, but more than that, Im so pleased to find how nice the new big boss (at the Manchester office) is. It may sound like nothing, but he rang me before Xmas to let me know the of staff whove worked at the same places as me in the past, might put you at ease a bit if you know someone who youre coming to work with. I did know one of them but it was his consideration that put me at ease. Then he rang me again on the 2nd to tell me to ignore the 9am start as the first day is not much more than a briefing anyway, and that theyve sat me opposite Steph being as I know her, so we can carry on with the catching up, (I told him Id bumped into the lass that I do know on new years day and we had a great but brief catch up). Those of you who are aware of whats happened in my life will understand how much this means to me, heres to 2015 everyone x
