Tonight I am thinking of tomorrow July 7th. It is a very meaningful day to me. First it is the birthday of my firstborn child and namesake, Thomas W. Sorrells Jr. Happy Birthday Tommy. But also on July 7 one year ago We lost my good friend ( and as she called us) my radiation buddy, Lora Thompson. She suffered so much but used every day to help others including me. I looked forward to seeing her when she got to Dothan for chemo and I miss the talks we had. I grew to admire her family, her mother Doris, her sister Nora and her daughter Lynn. They were always there for her as were her many friends. We will always have a connection because of our love and admiration for Lora. She is still an inspiration to me to make sure my life counts for something.
