Tonight, We go on late. After you help Duane Smith at his benefit show at the grotto, come check us (Addnerim: Damien Grober and Dustin Choat) out. Also in town is Bill Pohl who will be playing a set. For those who dont know, he is the best guitarist I have ever seen. He has taught me so many invaluable lessons on time signatures, polymeter and polyrhythm techniques, advanced theory and showed me all the cool expressive ways to use the pentatonic, melodic minor and diminished scales. Pretty much everything prog that I know came from him and his ability to explain, breakdown and teach me everything from Mahavishnu Orchestra, yes, King Crimson, UK and Shawn Lane licks and how to incorporate them into my playing. In short, I owe a great deal of my playing to him. He made me love learning the guitar and never made it feel like a competition. He challenged me to challenge myself in a way that has made me the musician I am today. He wont be back in Fort Worth for a long time so if you miss this show you will regret it.
