Tonight only a small few decided to show up for prayer at church, I must admit I was feeling pretty dejected. I opened up Romans 12 and went to verse 12 which says Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer and our little group started to pray. Emma has been heavy on my heart and as I prayed for her the tears began to fall, for her, for my daughter and because so few think its important to get together to pray for others. As I came back to my trailer I began to journal Romans 12:12 and as I was thinking what is God saying through this? I wrote this: Because we have hope, there is more to this life than what we have now, we can have joy, which is much different than happiness. We will have painful times in this life, we wont understand what or why God is doing certain things but we know the promise that all things will work out for His greater good. No matter what, we must remain faithful in prayer even if others dont, giving thanks to God and with thanksgiving presenting our requests to Him knowing that He will give us peace that we cant understand. I wish I had the answers of why God is allowing us to have a beautiful grand daughter with such a horrible disease and now compounded by the latest news, but I have faith that my God knows what He is doing and He felt we were good enough to allow us to have Emma.
