You may be interested to know that when Ronald Reagan was a young man, he worked as a sportscaster at local radio station WHO. You also may be interested to know that the fine folks of Des Moines consume more potato chips per capita than any other city in the USA. One more thing … Iowa City was the first capital of Iowa … Des Moines became the capital in 1857. And one more thing … you’ve heard the word “posh”. The word comes from the 1800’s when people sailed from Great Britain around Africa to India. The very wealthy always wanted to see land from their staterooms.
