Tonights skywatching run was North from Richmond to Waterville, - TopicsExpress

Tonights skywatching run was North from Richmond to Waterville, and back. Its a hot zone of activity, especially this past month. Tonight, on the way back through - between Waterville & Augusta I saw a thin white streak of - something - shoot across the sky, in the direction of away from us, out the passenger window to my right. It wasnt up in the stars, so it was pretty low. Lower than cloud level. It had no color, really, just white. It didnt seem to emit light so Im guessing it *did* emit light, just a tiny amount - enough to make it visible for the half second I saw it. The streak was extremely fast, very direct, and did not appear to gain or lose velocity. It was interesting. Jeanette & I were both drawn to this orange-ish colored star in the sky, but well refer to astronomy apps to figure out what it is. Thank you to Tony, for driving us to and fro!
