Too many people are playing it safe with their music these days. Doing the same thing over & over again. Let me explain why this is a huge problem, In my opinion at least. If we have a multitude of young artists making the exact same thing every time they sit down to write, there will be no advancements for said genre, whether it be Bigroom, Dubstep, Electro, etc. This will cause that specific genre to lose momentum & make no further advancement & it will slowly die out. Anyone who has had and/or is having success with their music has done so by standing out, being unique, & pushing the limits. The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, U2 & even jumping to recent times, people like Skrillex, KOAN Sound, Burial, Flume, Wave Racer, Flux Pavilion, Madeon, Porter Robinson, Noisia, Nero, my boy Mrtn & many more all have one thing in common. Whats that? Their ability to set themselves apart from the rest, break out of the genre barriers that every artist seems to constantly abide by, & do something different. All I can do is try my best to innovate & set myself apart from everyone else, & I know that with dedication, hard work & perseverance, I will meet my goal eventually. Is anyone else tired of hearing the same exact thing from the same artist time & time again? I know I am. This is just my opinion, you are free to express yours. Do not bash my opinion & try to justify why Im wrong & youre right, that is why its called an opinion.
