Took a drive to Diary Farm area today to look at one of the development I bought into back in 2012, and I noticed one of our companys project (The Skywoods) along Diary Farm Rd is also fast into construction although launched much later. Many people asked me why do I buy into this area, since there are many other choices out there back then. Well, besides the fact that I grew up in this area, I feel that this area gives a very comfortable home feel with the proximity to the nature reserve. Skywoods is near MRT Too bad it wasnt available when I bought my property, else I would definitely buy nearer to the MRT. HillV2 Mall This magnificent mall is almost ready! With lotsa of established anchor tenants. I cant wait to spend many weekends having brunch or coffee at Dean & Deluca and chill in the mall. Existing RailMall Ive always enjoyed going to Toastbox there, or sometimes buying groceries at Cold Storage. The free parking there is definitely a perk. Future Plan - URA Looking at the URA Masterplan2014, there are at least 6 more plots of residential land yet to be bidded. These are definitely opportunities to bring up the prices in future. I also noticed that there is a pink plot that is gonna offer retail on the first floor, which is added convenience to residents there. Not to mention the 2 plots allocated for Educational Institutes, may be good opportunity for prices to appreciate in future too. Prices now Again, too bad Ive bought in 2012 (but its more important that I secured a rare unit within the development), today we see developers giving good discounts for buyers to enter the market. Im not saying that prices is definitely shooting up in a couple of months time (who knows?), but Im very optimistic with the further future (5 years or more), that prices will be held up by further developments in the area.
