Took my first trip ever, to Juno Road, last night. Didnt see a single snake (though did see an old shed deep inside one cut) on any of the cuts, or the entire Hwy 163 stretch until 2am, when I finally saw a total of 3 Atrox. One of which was a gorgeous female, I took for my lonely male at home. The 2nd Atrox I saw, I almost hit. Stopped my car to turn around and go get a pic of it, and no sooner did my car come to a stop, than my 3rd Atrox of the night, was right there in front of my car. By the time I delt with it, the one behind my car was gone. Note the big difference in color and contrast between my male (left) I caught off River Road last year with Billy Johnson, and this new female (right) from Juno Road. Granted the one from River Road was just stellar anyhow. :) The new female has some pretty eyes though. Pic of the one by itself in the dirt, was the first find. A pretty male. Well...glad I wasnt skunked, but I did have higher hopes for the famed Juno Road. :P
