Tough day in the Office for Fener and Gala We were fortunate - TopicsExpress

Tough day in the Office for Fener and Gala We were fortunate enough to enjoy 13 goals in 4 games this Saturday matchday. It all began with Kasimpasa hosting Gaziantep. Ryan Babel was once again in electric form, setting up the first goal for Adem Buyuk. From there, floodgates were open as Pasa continued bagging goals thanks to two further assists by Scarione. Tunay Torun and Adem Buyuk also played big roles sharing 3 goals between them. At 1am, we had Sivas looking for their first win at home, and they got it...only just. Brazilian defender Manuel De Costa showed why he was a key name in their squad last year with yet another goal. Gencler did press and look for the equaliser but it just did not come and the Yigidolar ended up scraping their first 3 points. We now move on to the Aslanlar away to Erciyes. It was never going to be an easy trip and Galas ex-striker Necati Ates showed why, threatening Muslera and his defence early on. It was a fairly even game until Burak stepped up and got his scoring boots on again in the 2nd half. This was followed my a remarkable 30 yard free kick by the great himself, Wesley Sneijder. Erciyes did get a goal but it was not enough in the end. And finally, Fenerbahce at home to Konya. We always said it was not going to be easy, and that was certainly the case. Konya pushing Fener all the way for 90 minutes. If it wasnt for in-form left back Caner Erkin whipping in two crosses for two goals who knows what the score may have been? Webo and Sow were the finishers of those crosses with Rangelov getting Konyas only goal from the penalty spot. Fener defender Bekir also got a red card at the end of the first half, but it did seem controversial. Fener and Gala on 10 points now, who will hope to see Akhisar drop points today.
