Treaties 1-11 Annual Gathering is coming up quickly. Children are fearless, took Isabelle with us one time when she was 5. Got her 2 butterfly nets thinking it would keep her busy. Arrived at the gathering, she ran off to find a friend. Got caught up in the discussions, we heard laughter at the Chiefs table, when I went to see where she was I spotted her about to put her net on one of the Chiefs heads. So called her over before she went down the table and we put the nets away. She spent one afternoon sitting with the Elders and chattin with them. It was a hot day 37 degrees. She had a cup of water with her at the Elders table sitting with a couple of mosoms. All of sudden I spotted her getting ready to pour the cup of water on one of them. Luckily she looked our way and waved at her to stop. Whew close call. She is a bit older now I am sure she will be interested in some of the discussions. Anyway hope to seee many people at the gathering. Have been attending some of the Treaty dicussions can be very informative always something new to learn. Love the Elders for their committment and persistence to educate the youth on what will always matter. Hai Hai
