Trip home this Christmas Day. Exiting Anniston, Hwy 431 to - TopicsExpress

Trip home this Christmas Day. Exiting Anniston, Hwy 431 to Gadsden, all of a sudden the most beautiful sunshine, brighter than ever colored the landscape of earth, a few puffy clouds, to accent the beauty of the sky. Awe inspiring. I thought of Sister Vestal Goodmans plaintiff refrains: What a beautiful Day for the Lord to come again, how I long to see his face, and touch his nail scarred hand..What a beautiful Day for the Lord to come again. Trip was very emotional. Every turn of the wheels on my car laced with a memory, thoughts of my family, mine and Lindas family thoughts of her family. It was happy time..and more to come. To see most all businesses, closed except a few all the way home, was just amazing, as a Nation takes time to STAND STILL for a day and reflect, and Honor the Christ Child, and fellowship together. To top it off, approaching Holly Pond, I noticed the WATERFRONT RESTAURANT parking lot full almost. I said, YES. The Lord turned my steering wheel, I went in for a COUNTRY CHRISTMAS DINNER. It was like my Grandmas.. My Mom, Lindas Mom, Lindas cooking. Country green beans, zesty dressing, macaroni, fried okra, deviled eggs, a small slice of ham with a pineapple slice on it, A fitting tribute to GODS goodness, for which I gave thanks. GOD BLESS all our patriarchs, the dearly departed, and the rest of us who remain..and GOD BLESS YOU.
