Trust your gut. Some people have never learned to trust their own - TopicsExpress

Trust your gut. Some people have never learned to trust their own instincts and some of us know but hit and miss regarding decisions. There’s another group who think if we pray about a something, we shouldn’t think at all. They think whatever happens to them is a matter of fate alone, not cause and effect. God speaks to us about judgement regarding decisions or situations we face in many ways, often through our instincts. Have you ever gotten a splitting headache before finalizing an important decision, an upset stomach or sense of dread or caution or maybe a bad dream? Sometimes we discount it to mere nervousness, but often it’s our instincts signaling us of destruction. For those who live life on the principal of fate alone, remember fate is not faith. Faith is believing even though things occur beyond our control, there is still hope. Surely, we don’t have control over all situations and those are instances of fate. For instance, one wouldn’t know the morning they took their child to school, the child would be gunned down by a mad man. Fate destined that to occur. However, cause and effect contributed to the mad man’s ability to have possession of a gun and lack of mental healthcare. Reflection: Think of outcomes in your life that were attributed to cause and effect? Sometimes we discount our gut feelings for primitive responses. We tend to reason against our own instinct and often during those times we are struggling with God’s inner voice. Remember, knowledge without wisdom or the ability to discern is quite useless. God gave us instinct. Don’t be afraid to use it.
