Tuesdays Champagne League race is the 8.4mile staggered handicap - TopicsExpress

Tuesdays Champagne League race is the 8.4mile staggered handicap race from Wauldby Green, Raywell - the longest event in the series. Arrangements for the start process are similar to those at the last race, the 6 mile staggered start at Grannies Attic. The first runner will be set off at 7.00p.m, so it is necessary for everyone to register before that time - even if it means you have a long wait before your start time. At the busiest points, batches of runners are set off at 15 second intervals, and the starter does not have time to register runners during this process. If you havent registered before 7.00 the starter will not call you up to the start at your allotted time, so you may miss your start. Anyone who misses their start time will not have their handicap adjusted. The registration area is about 400 metres from the start point. Sorry to sound officious, but these staggered races need full concentration at the start, and is the only way to ensure a (relatively) trouble free process
