Turkey Adventure Day 2-Istanbul FYI-do not drink Turkish Tea close to bed time.I didnt sleep at all last night. Well I guess it would be ok if you want to party all night but not when you have a 630am wake-up call. And you know how I love them early mornings. Today we visited the Blue Mosque. I imagined a sea of blue tiles that would cast a blue haze on everything as the sun shone through, but no. It was more of a blue floral pattern with other colors. Kind of disappointed, but it was still quite beautiful. From there we visited another Mosque which I cannot remember the name of as I forgot to take a picture of the sign. The free bathrooms were a total scam. Of course the men had no issues but us women had to walk all the way around the huge Mosque pay 1TRY and pee in a hole in the ground. I guess we can be thankfull we werent in the bush with no TP. We then moved on to the Spice Market. Which to my surprise had more than just spices. The good looking, and not so good looking Turkish men try to lure you in with free samples of Turkish Delight and cheesy pick-up lines. What are you doing here on Earth? I though angels only lived in Heavan. The sweets were oh so scrumptious. We crossed the Bosphorus with a short ferry ride. I can now officially say that I have been to Asia. 4 continents down, 3 to go. Tomorrow we visit what we are told is the best museum in Turkey, then we are off to Cappadocia. 1 more day to think about that hot air baloon ride.
