Two male Bears shot today by conservation officers in Surrey! video showed them fighting. Apparently they were fighting over a female bear in the area. Now I am sure they could have both been tranquilized, but once again the officers took the easy way out and shot them! I think this is terrible. ,even though the officers said they were aggressive, why they could not be re- located to a far away area is baffling to me! Too many bears being killed each year in BC, Enough already!! Conservation officers??? !! Remember people keep your doors and windows locked and keep those garage doors locked. Bears and other wildlife were in this country and area LONG before people took over the area to build houses and communities! Yes! I respect wildlife and know the rules! Just leave the animals alone! :-)
