Two years & three months ago we had a tornado on april 27th that totaly destroyed our neighborhood along with Eagle cove marina.We lost approximately 35 boats total loss and at least 40 boats was badly damaged. We worked endlessly to get damaged boats to a safe place & tied up. With Gov. approval we went to work fiercely to remove all debris, docks, boat sheds and etc. from the water along with any other hazardous materials left behind. After this we went to work on the landscaping, cleaning all debris and fallen trees. Built all roads back all rift raft along banks to stop erosion. This was all done at a cost of approximately three hundred & fifty thousand dollars or more. At this time all work was stopped and we had to apply for permits to rebuild the marina. This was two years ago. Since then there has been road blocks after road blocks. It seems as if we are being stone walled for no apparent reason. So it is time for BOATERS to get involved; so lets GO. It is just a matter of picking up your telephone & making a call to our local senators and let them know we want our marina back, so we can get on with our boating!
