UDAAN 2014: The grand culmination of the month-long orientation program at FMS… The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), MRIU welcomed the new students of MBA, MA (Applied Psychology) and B.Sc. (Hotel Management) through a month-long orientation program at its campus. Embarking upon its seventh year of operation, FMS undertakes to create global thought leaders for a better tomorrow. The orientation program commenced on July 21, 2014. The aim was to familiarize the entrants with the various dimensions of MRIU. Many eminent personalities from the corporate, academic and wellness industry briefed the students on the multi-dimensional aspects of professional and personal grooming. All the presentations focused on the theme of wellness spanning across Personal & Spiritual wellness, Emotional & Physical wellness, Social Wellness, Environment Sensibility and Classroom Learning. August 12 marked the grand finale of the orientation program. The event was presided over by Mrs. Satya Bhalla, Chief Patron, MREI. A key highlight of the day was a MIME show by experts on the globally relevant themes of ‘Drug Abuse’ and ‘Environment Protection’. The orientation program helped develop effective communication and presentation skills among students. It also groomed and motivated them to be knowledgeable and skilled professionals and fostered values such as integrity, transparency and Independence in the budding professionals.
