UN Secretary General today: This ceasefire has come at a price which is almost too much to bear. The massive death and destruction in Gaza has Shocked and Shamed the World. Perhaps nothing symbolises more the Horror that was unleashed upon the people of Gaza than the repeated shelling of UN facilities harbouring civilians who had been expressly told to seek a safe harbour there. These attacks were outrageous and unjustifiable. About as much of a condemnation of a countrys actions that the UN is able to give. I still havent found my own words for expressing the disgust I feel at the acts inflicted by what can only be considered a heartless crowd of murderers presently at the helm of that otherwise great and democratic nation. In the annals of time, hopefully their names will be smeared into the darkest chapters of history, relegated into the eternal and ghastly company of those whos actions they purport to disdain the most.
